Privacy Policy

wkearly ("the app") is developed by the wkearly team. This policy explains what data wkearly collects and why.

Data we collect

Account email — only if you create an account. Optional: the app works fully in guest mode with no account and no data leaving your device except as described below.
Username & streak stats — if you create an account, your username and win/streak counts appear on the public leaderboard.
Alarm & sleep records — bedtimes, wake times, and mission results are stored locally on your device. Account holders' streak totals are mirrored to our server to power the leaderboard.
Mission photos — photos taken to complete a photo mission are stored locally on your device. They are sent once, automatically, to Google's Gemini API (via our own server) purely to verify the photo matches the mission. We do not store your photos on our servers.
Approximate location — optional. Only read once, right when you dismiss your morning alarm, to check whether it's a good time for healthy morning sunlight (via OpenWeather). Not stored anywhere; used for that one request and discarded. Skippable during setup.
Advertising identifier — used by Google AdMob to serve and measure ads on non-critical screens.

Precise/GPS location, contacts, financial information, or health data from device sensors.

Use wkearly entirely in guest mode: no account, no server-side data beyond one-time photo verification.
Request account/data deletion any time from within the app (Settings → Delete account), which permanently deletes your account and profile data from our servers. Locally-stored alarm data stays on your device unless you also reset it separately.

wkearly is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
